Are you a glass half empty, or half full kind of person? Depending on your answer, you may find this post to be extremely late, or a little early. Your choice. I remembered this project when I was working on another canvas project.
Last year I ran across the following saying (probably on Pinterest, but I can’t remember) and immediately I thought of my sister-in-law:
Even though she was a grown woman, she believed in elves & Santa Claus & flying reindeer & sacks with endless capacity for toys. Furthermore, she believed that believing in these things was the chief reason that she had more fun in life than everyone else.
If you know Rachel, I think you’d agree; Christmas is to her what Halloween is to me.
Since she loves handmade gifts from me, (she really does, she told me so!) I wrote down the quote and planned to incorporate it with one of her Christmas gifts. This is what I came up with:
Isn’t it fun? Terrible photo, I do apologize, but that baby sparkles like Edward Cullen.
Can you see the gorgeous glitter??
I thought it was pretty cute, but let me tell ya, it was a PITA to make. You know PITA, right?
No?
Lesson for the day: PITA = Pain In The @$$.
Yep. For some reason I don’t have very good luck with vinyl and canvas. But I keep trying. This one took FOREVER to get everything on there, and despite a layer or two of glitter Mod Podge over top, a few pieces were still popping up. Maybe nobody else noticed. But I notice everything.
Do you love it? Then stick around, I’ll soon be sharing another canvas project with a twist, and a freebie!
