If you’ve “liked” the Candyland Studio Facebook Page or follow me on Instagram then you’ve probably already seen today’s Felt Fun Friday Project. Sorry…I couldn’t stand to keep it a secret any longer. I am just so darn proud of this set! =) After months of planning and graphic work, (and thanks to some help from a talented artist friend and group of fellow sign language instructors) my idea finally came to life.
Someone asked what motivated me to make my own felt alphabet. It’s never been a secret that I am in love with sign language, and I have been for nearly my entire life. Last year I was able to check off “get certified to teach sign language” on my bucket list when I became certified with the Signing Time Academy. I’ve got so many other things going on right now that I don’t currently teach regular Signing Time classes, but that didn’t stop me from wanting my own set of the ASL Alphabet. I can use it to teach and play with my own kids, plus these sets are very durable and should last forever, or at least until I do teach some classes. 😉
The pieces range from 3″ – 5″ so they are perfect for little hands.
I just LOVE them! =)
If you could create any felt set you wanted, what would it be?
